Products for Erectile Dysfunction in Three Versions

Products for erectile dysfunction (like Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) can be found in three forms: the original product (also called "Brand"), the generic product, the generic product from India.

The original product

This is the "Brand" product which bears the mark of the pharmaceutical company that produces these pills: Pfizer for Viagra, Lilly ICOS for Cialis, Bayer for Levitra. It is a product that has been promoted by the substantial investment of the pharmaceutical companies in research, but especially in advertising.

That is why original prices of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are so high, because they can be purchased just in pharmacies and only under a medical prescription. These pharmaceutical companies have an absolute need to recover all the money invested in various sectors. The name of the marketed drug is a brand name, not the name of its active ingredient. Here are some examples of brand name drugs and their active ingredients in brackets:

Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate)
Cialis (Tadalafil)
Levitra (Vardenafil)

The generic product

The generic product is a product whose copyright, patent have expired. For example, generic Viagra will be sold in 2013 at the expiration of Pfizer's patents. So in 4 years it is possible that you could legally buy generic Viagra in pharmacy at a price much lower than the original.
With the expiration of patent coverage, other manufacturers may sell more versions of the product with the same active ingredient. How it works today in India, where the Government can reproduce the drugs subject to patent coverage. That is why we find several products being the active ingredient of Cialis, like: Tadacip, generic Cialis and many others.

In Italy, for example, there are some generic products that can be easily purchased in pharmacies, but still no cure for erectile dysfunction. The sale of generic drugs in Europe is growing, and the state is pressing for the sale of these drugs (which are much cheaper), because it is the Ministry of Health, which provides the prices of most of these drugs. That's why the Government made a campaign simply as an economic issue.

There is a considerable price difference between a generic and a brand medicine. For example, we have accessed one of the largest sites for selling products for erectile dysfunction (www.viagranow.biz) and comparing the brand name Viagra (original) with Generic Viagra: 4 original Viagra pills 100 mg cost 39.93 euro against the 24.66 euros for 24 pills of generic Viagra.

The generic product from India

We have already mentioned that in India, the Government allows the production of drugs containing a patented active ingredient. This law, however, has led to some confusion in this market.

There are many pharmaceutical companies in India that export their products worldwide, we mention just a few: Sun Pharma, Cipla Limited, Torrent Pharma, Ajantha Pharma, Intas Pharma.
But unfortunately, there are also many reproductions from China (fake), especially regarding products such as Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, which are inserted into this huge market. The scam is not only here, there are also many websites that present themselves as "online pharmacies", but in reality are nothing more than sites that implement the so-called "phishing," or theft of your bank account.

In short: you can find online pharmacies on the Internet that sell products that come from India (including Cialis, Viagra and Cialis generic versions), but it is necessary to be very careful:

- Find out where these drugs are produced; - Find out the names of pharmaceutical companies; - Make sure the site has a secure online payment page

Another thing to take into consideration: make sure that orders and products you have ordered are shipped from Europe, otherwise your parcel containing Viagra could be blocked by Customs.
